beautiful words don't bring about change with a corrupt government that steals, cheats, tortures, and kills its own ppl. you add a registration step to keep hackers out of this site, What do the peacefull protesters in Iran do to have their say, to have a "peaceful" life. Where is the UN to step in and keep the butchers from hurting inocent ppl who are asking to be heard. Parents don't want their sons and daughters to go out and die, but they wish them the peace and freedom we have in some parts of the world. If a country like Iran treats its own citizens like this tell me how will it act when the nuclear weapons get sophisticated enough to cause a world wide devistation? How far should things go before the leaders of the "free world" unite and in the name of "humanity" and "peace" stop the killings! If there is a $ to be made they all come knocking. We don't care about human life. We kill in the name of "God", we have wars over teretories, and land . Today I'm sad to call myself a "human being". I saw a video that 53 persian made about peace, it was beautiful and I came to see what voices for peace was all about. Is this just a place to vent? or buy Tee Shirts? whole sale???? just another way to make a $ sorry I rather send the $ to those who are shot in Iran and are afraid to go to the hospitals , cause the hospitals are to notify the authorities of the demonstrators who come there. Perhaps you can add a petition to the UN or the Heads of Free World, somethig other than a Vending Machine for apparel. May Peace be On All who fight their "Human Rights" !!!

Hey Mo Irani,
Thanks for posting your message and voicing your concerns about the situation in Iran, and with Voices for Peace. We started Voices for Peace to serve as a message board for peace in any manner people wished to use it. To post messages of peace, or for peace. To highlight situations/conflicts around the world that needed attention and or support, to build attendance at events designed to promote peace, to highlight actions people have tried that were effective in their community or country....whatever people wanted to say. We don't make any money from Voices for Peace, and with regards to Peace Please profits from sales are used to support groups out their fighting the good fight for peace. Rather than being a vending machine for apparel the aim of Peace Please is to get peace out in front of people and into people's consciousnesses, with the hope that it will lead more people to take action for the cause.
As for the situation in Iran, any time a government treats it's own citizenry with violence is abhorent. Unfortunately it happens much to often - not just in Iran but in many nations around the world. The fact that we as humans, after so many thousands of years on this planet, still believe that violence is a method to solving problems is incomprehensible, and something that we all need to work to change.
There have been many petitions circulated in support of the protestors in Iran. Below is just one that has gained some traction:
http://www.avaaz.org/en/iran_stop_the_crackdown/
If you can meantime let us know where we can find the video made by the 53 Persians, we would really be interested in watching it, and posting it on Peace Please if possible.
Let's work together, ok? We need to bridge differences instead of creating more divides.
Peace, Solh, VFP
