Subject: Peace One Day - 192 Film Campaign |

This year (POD's 10th anniversary), Peace One Day is launching a campaign to see screenings of our new film The Day After Peace take place in each of the 192 member states of the United Nations and beyond on Peace Day, Monday 21 September 2009. We believe this will be the first time a feature film has been screened simultaneously in every UN member state and we would like to invite you to represent your country in this global campaign by holding a screening to celebrate Peace Day.
There is no lower or upper limit to the size of your audience, and no restrictions on the type of venue; it could be at home or in a public hall or wherever you see fit! The film is the most powerful tool in raising awareness of Peace Day and inspiring your audience to observe the day for years to come. The film is available in the six official languages of the UN: English, French, Russian, Spanish, Chinese and Arabic.
If you are interested in holding a screening of the film on Peace Day this year please email the details of your planned screening (including the size of your expected audience) to our Screening Coordinator Katie Spong Katie.spong@peaceoneday.org
We would like to offer a FREE DVD to the first individual, group or organisation from each country to approach us wishing to screen the film to 21 people or more on Peace Day 21 September. Although we would love to be able to give a free DVD to everyone wishing to screen the film, sadly the cost of doing this is prohibitive at present.
