Dear Friends,
On behalf of the board of directors, staff, volunteers, partners, and intern teams at the Rebuilding Alliance, I am proud and honored to invite you to join us for "It Takes a Village to Save a Village" -- the Rebuilding Alliance's 2nd Annual Peacemakers Dinner. This wonderful event is being held on April 24th, 6-9 pm at the Red Rock Chateau in Orange County CA, with dinner generously donated by the Simaan Family!
It is out of a desire to recognize and promote the causes of peace and justice through cooperative civic action, community-directed rebuilding, and grassroots + diplomatic advocacy that the Rebuilding Alliance Peacemakers Award is humbly given.
Here are the distinguished recipients of the 2010 Rebuilding Alliance Peacemakers Awards:
* Cindy and Craig Corrie The parents of Rachel Corrie, Board and Advisory Board members of the Rebuilding Alliance
* Professor Richard Falk U.N. Special Rapporteur on Palestinian Human Rights
* Congressman Brian Baird Visited Gaza and Israel 3 times in past year, a clear advocate for Palestinian and Israeli human rights
We are counting on you to join us! It takes a village to save a village, and it takes our community to make peace and justice. Come celebrate the work all of us have done and the work that still lies ahead. Tickets are $50 per person. Please go on-line to accept our invitation at: www.PeacemakersDinner.org
As testimony, often startling, continues in their civil suit now underway in Israel, Cindy and Craig Corrie have made their desire clear: to seek the court's pronouncement of accountability in their daughter's death and to prevent future harm to others.
We eagerly await the Corries' return. On April 24th, they will arrive in Silverado, Orange County to share their insight at the Peacemakers Dinner. To welcome them, please place your message to Cindy and Craig in our program book -- click here. With sincere thanks,
Donna Baranski-Walker Executive Director
P.S. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding our annual dinner and our latest projects. Feel free to call me at 650 325-4663.
