4 - The image above had been in my mind for months. While not comprehensive, it's meant to depict the common hope for peace, and peaceful coexistence, that exists in people around the world. I've lived in several countries and visited dozens more, and what most comes to mind when I think of peace is the look of love that is in a parents eyes when they watch their children. No matter where these parents and children are - Syria or Italy, Turkey or China, the United States or Indonesia - that look in the parents eye is the same. There's a common humanity in all of us that cuts across all national and religious boundaries, and it's this community humanity that we need to connect to and unite. The forces of greed, violence and war may be strong, but the power of those who simply want to live in peace and pass on a good future to their children is greater. Time is just too short, and each day our children get older. We, the billions who see this, need to raise our voices and call out to our leaders to sit down and negotiate peace amongst all our peoples - now.
