Subject: Creating Peace Project

Hello,

I love your website and the committment you have shown to share the message of peace in as many ways as possible. I wnated to share a nonprofit organization that I recently developed. It is called the Creating Peace Project. And it is based on the idea of what would happen if 500 children reached deep within their hearts and found peace? How different would our world be if those same children taught us what they
discovered . . . and one by one, we decided to change the world?

To help both adults and children create peace within themselves, their homes and their communities, I developed a transformational children's workshop called “ The Creating Peace Project.” This program begins with a magical relaxation exercise to help the children discover peace inside of them. After the children are very relaxed they look within their hearts and write their answers to twelve thought-provoking questions about creating peace.

During these workshops, “The children's responses are so amazing. These 7-11 year olds express such profound wisdom, deep emotions, and truly inspiring expressions of what our world could be. Upon reading their answers I laugh, cry and feel a ray of hope for I know that this generation has the potential to lead us to peace.” I found that children know a peace simpler, yet more profound than any we as adults know. “In their open minds, wondrous imaginations and innocent hearts are the answers to how we, as adults, can create peace.”

The children's powerful messages are being sent to many world leaders and are also being complied in a book called “Peace is a Warm Brownie: Messages of Hope and Harmony From the Voices of Innocent Wisdom.” Although written by kids, Their words are so insightful that they are meant to inspire us as adults. Inspire us to view the world through the innocent, yet wise eyes of a child. Inspire us to reflect upon the choices we make in our own lives and within our families. Finally, inspire us to be a part of creating peace.”

Over 550 children have participated in this program so far. “Children around the world are being taught to hate, now it is more important than ever that we plant seeds of peace. In Ft. Lauderdale alone there are over 18,000 children between the ages of 7-11. Imagine how different our world could be, if because of these workshops just 1% of these kids became peacemakers.” Imagine if just 1% of their parents choose to resolve conflicts in a peaceful way.

Peace is a Warm Brownie and the Creating Peace Project reminds adults and children of all ages that there’s reason for hope as long as we take individual responsibility for creating harmony within ourselves, our families, and our communities.

I am also developing a full 6 week heart based conflict resoultion program to be used at the elementary school level.

If you would like more information on our nonprofit organziation or the work that we do please feel free to contact me at 954-659-9982 or e-mail at d2mikes@aol.com.

Thank you so much for what you do and together may we all know peace on earth.

Blessings of peace,

Debbie Milam
