you do realize alot of minorities were detered from voting, by the republicans. So, yes historically many more people voted, however, not everyone was permited.Democracy did not work.
America is a divided ideaology. The elisist idealogy is to keep the poor and middle class, poor and middle class, while they become increasingly rich, and greedy. And then there is the other ideaology. Working together to make the world a better place for everyone, through a peaceful means. Helping our children grow up without fear. Do you know all the states that voted for Bush, get more funds to combat terrorism, then the states that are more susceptible to a terrorist attack. It's not that we are quibbling about losing, it's because we are concerned for our future as a nation.
