When I found out Bush was re-elected by the country I call home, I was shocked. I wept for my country. I suppose I was naive to think the majority of US voters were open-minded, kind people. It saddens me to think our country does not and will not acknowledge all forms of love. Instead 11 states voted to not allow gay marriage. That alone blows my mind. It's 2004 people! When minds remain closed, the human race can't evolve.
Bush lied to his country. He is responsible for too many deaths to count. and i feel his country should hold him responsible for his actions. As i sit here typing, people are dying. A day doesn't pass without me thinking of war, hate and destruction. (i usually am a very positive person) When i found out my sister was being deployed, my heart stopped. Why does she have to fight Bush's war? Why does anyone?
All I can do is pray for peace and a safe journey home for all our brave soldiers. So please keep peace in your mind and in your heart. i believe If you surround yourself with peaceful thoughts and kind doings, it will spread. I am hopeful that my children and their children will see a more peaceful, brighter world...
