Subject: Welcome to Voices for Peace


VOICES FOR PEACE is a free flowing forum where people interested in peace and coexistence can share messages, viewpoints and ideas as to how to make these ideals realities.

For those who believe that peace is the best alternative for relations between peoples and nations the last few months have been something. Invigorating. Frustrating. Confusing. Sad. But also inspiring. While we were not able to stop the war on Iraq we were able to unite. By the millions. And seeing that unity in numbers and thought gives hope that by keeping connected, and continuing to share our thoughts and ideas, we can confront present and future issues of war and conflict with creativity, intelligence and strength.

While we may add a few of our own posts at the beginning, at least initially we will not be creating major forum areas - we will leave that up to our participants. We want the forums to serve our community's needs and will leave it up to the community to decide what those needs are. Maybe it's alerting people to planned conferences or rallies. Or swapping ideas as to how to build community participation or awareness. Or sharing inspired writings or images (note that you can post images and web site links). Let us know what areas you want added and we'll create them for you.

We hope you’ll share your voice and visions of peace with us. Through dialogue and communication we can create the energy that makes things happen.
