PEACE IS OUR CHOICE
an evening of poems, plays, and songs
TheDrillingCompaNY
presents a return of
PEACE IS OUR CHOICE.
Originally presented on
March 2, 2003 in response
to the proposd invasion of Iraq
PEACE IS OUR CHOICE returns
in response to the continued violence
and the “free” elections being held there
on this day. It is the beginning of a conversation
through written, found and sung word on the nature
of peace. We have asked writers to compose new work
around the question: What is peace? The evening
includes the Dialogue Project, an attempt in
the aftermath of the election to initiate a
conversation rather than a debate.
