Subject: MARCH 20 : GLOBAL MARCH AGAINST WAR - Raise your voice for peace!


March 20th marks the first anniversary of the American-led war on Iraq. The day has been designated as a Global Day of Action, and marches and events will be held in numerous cities around the world. It's important that we raise our voices and let the leaders know we're still here....and that we the people want our nations policies to be ones of diplomacy and peace.

In the United States, where participating groups include United for Peace and Justice, A.N.S.W.E.R and over 1,500 other organizations, major marches are presently planned for New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and several other locations around the country. Internationally, at the recent World Social Forum in India, over 80,000 representatives of social movements from around the world voted to make March 20 as a Global Day of Action and Protest, and marches and events are being planned in Canada, Italy, France, the United Kingdom and in numerous other countries and their cities around the world.
