BEHEADING - Is this is a new phenomenon or same old same old?

The culture of beheadings in not something the Islamists have invented in the 21st century as most people like to believe. The general opinion is that this is something the fringe element in Islam would carry out due to incorrect extremist outlook (i.e. they are nice people otherwise), again this is far from the truth as I will show later in this article. The problem is with the political correctness that is plaguing the west and stifling free speech to deal with the issue at hand. Unless we are honest we cannot deal with the issue at all, we need to be sensitive and truthful about the issues we are facing. Our aim is not to isolate or separate Muslims into groups but raise awareness of what is happening in our world and how best to deal with this.

This is not to isolate those Muslims who want to take a peaceful approach, that is fine but their actions should be demonstrated beyond mere words. Staying quiet is not an option for peace, actions are louder then words yet we do not see any action from the peaceful Muslims.

We must ask if Muslims are really peaceful then how many Muslim protests have we seen condemning this beheading behaviour.
How many Muslim protests have we seen condemning the violence plaguing many countries today?
The answer lies in the deafening silence of the Muslims. Whilst the majority Muslims remain silent, can we really hope to achieve any lasting peace?

If we take a look around ourselves can we honestly name one serious conflict where the Islamists are not involved?

Chechnya Muslims active in that region of Russia.
Philippines Muslims active in fighting against the government.
Iraq Muslims active in beheading, bombing and killing.
Saudi Arabia Muslims active in bombings and terrorist acts.
Afghanistan Muslims active in that region of the world in bitter conflict with the US troops and others.
Pakistan Muslims active in the borders of Pakistan fighting with the government troops.
Sudan Muslims active against the Sudanese Christians, forceful conversions and murder of innocent civilians.
Indonesia Muslim insurgents forcing the Christians to convert or face death.
Algeria Muslims insurgents fighting the government.
Nigeria Muslims fighting the Christians and destroying churches.
Bosnia Muslims fighting and killing the Serbian villagers and desecrating churches.
Eritrea Muslims waging war against the Christian Ethiopia.
Lebanon Muslims active against the Lebanese Christian massacres.
India Muslims insurgents fighting in Kashmir breaking out into the street of India.
The list is endless and we can see that everywhere you look the Islamists are active. Do you still want to paint a picture of Islam that is peaceful?

The purpose of this article is not to create Islamophobia but creating Islamic awareness so we all understand where we stand with this religion which is intent on imposing its 7th century paradigm on the 21st century world.

First of all Islam as a religion is very much stuck in the past so to say, it just does not move on, it is same old, same old. What does this mean? It wants to force people into the 7th century mindset into the nomadic Arab life, this means you cannot reinterpret the Qur'an according to modern methods to suit your whims and desires . No matter how peaceful a Muslim wants to become he has to accept the Qur'an as a de-facto standard in his life. The teachings of the beheadings are taken out of the pages of the Qur'an which all Muslims hold dear to their lives, also elaborated by the Hadiths (sayings and deeds of Muhammad). The Qur'an cannot be interpreted without the Hadiths and you cannot separate one from the other, they are intertwined and used in all aspects of Islamic jurisprudence. The Hadiths are held to a very high regard by the dominant sects in Islam i.e. Sunni and Shi'ites. The Hadiths are almost compared as divine as the Qur'an and MUST be adhered to in order to live out a life as a good Muslim.

Anything the Muslims do must be seen through the Islamic lenses which most people rarely do today, they incorrectly go on labelling this as extremist behaviour or terrorist activity. Let me categorically state for the record, this is NOT terrorist activity and these Muslims are being labelled with a false label of terrorists and extremists when all they are trying to do is follow their religion to the letter.

Have you ever wondered why the Muslims get so incensed when you label them as terrorists? Simply because they are trying to be good Muslims NOT terrorists or extremists.

Also many people incorrectly say Wahabbism is a sect of Islam that has extremist views, again this is not true and completely a false view. Muhammad Ibn Abd al-Wahab back in the 18th century simply should be considered a puritan for Islam who asked people to go back to the truth of Muhammad and his teachings in Islam, it is akin to the reformations in Christianity to go back to the truth of the Bible.

If Christians follow Jesus Christ and believe correctly as the Bible states that he is divine and God who took the form of a man to die on the cross, he was raised after three days and further want to proclaim this truth to the world the ONLY way to go to heaven, would you then label them as extremists, intolerant fantasists on hijacking the Christian faith? I know many would say this is an extremist view that Jesus is the only way to heaven since we are isolating those who do not want to believe in Jesus Christ and that all roads lead to God and we must not preach this particular truth. Many would even label this as an extremist and fantasist view.

The same way the camp that cannot understand Islam also wants to label those Muslims who carry out the teachings of the Qur'an and Hadiths as extremist and terrorism per se. The bottom line is, the people who hold this view of peaceful Islam have no idea of what Islam is or what its teachings are. They have their own preconceived notions of what Islam should be or should not be and they refuse to believe otherwise that Islam is not peaceful from its inception. The media machine aka BBC, Channel 4, CNN also espouse a view of Islam as peaceful and even try and tell us scholars agree that Islam does not preach violence. I would like to know who these scholars are because they are never named and why are these scholars’ not organising mass protests against the extremist element in Islam. The truth is that these are the views of those few who try to tone down Islam but when you pick up the Qur'an then their deception is clearly evident for selling DIY Islam to the west.

In the Judeo/Christian world view God is a person who wants to have a relationship with his creation and he loves all mankind, he wants all mankind to turn away from wickedness and be reconciled through the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ thus elaborated the need to repent, and gave two golden rules of conduct.

1. Love the Lord your God with all your hearts, soul and mind.

2. Love your neighbour as yourself i.e. love all mankind around us and treat them just like we want to be treated recognising that we are all created in the image of God.

In the Islamic world we also have two interesting concepts, that Allah (the Islamic deity) is the Supreme Being and Muhammad is his last and final prophet and supreme authority on earth. Anything that Muhammad says goes and you cannot question that authority. This is why when we read Islamic history we see that no one ever questioned Muhammad's authority and if anyone dared to challenge his authority, then they were swiftly dealt with permanently and ended up six foot down under.

It is a widely held belief that in Islam it is incumbent on all Muslims to go for Jihad for Allah and establish the caliphate i.e. (Islamic state), Jihad is the greatest thing a Muslim can do, to outwardly convert others to Islam by preaching first and if they don't listen then to use all means possible e.g. setting up Mosques, Madrassas (Islamic schools and centres of worship) and lastly force i.e. convert or die. Do you see that the Muslims in Europe are already actively setting up the Mosques, and Islamic centres, force will follow later given the right circumstances, just take a look at Egypt, Indonesia, Lebanon, Nigeria etc...Are we seeing an Islamic utopia in these countries? Not likely...

According to Imam Al-Qastalani (Shaafi), Imam Al-Mawardi (Shaafi), Imam Al-Taftazani (Hanafi) and Imam Jirjani (Hanafi) schools of thought, the condition to fight the Infidels is to give victory to Islam as an aim and the intention must be to make Allah’s (Islamic god) name the highest. The Muslim aim is to make Allah’s faith the highest and the struggle is real and it begins with fighting and the fighting has to be begun by Muslims as a precondition after offering someone Islam and their non acceptance can start this off.

Let us look at the first cases of how Muhammad dealt with people living in Saudi Arabia.

Sura 47:4 Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks [i.e. behead them]; at length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them [humiliated them], bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom [can be released for a sum of money]: until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah's will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the way of Allah, He will never let their deeds be lost.

The Qur'an is clear that this is to instil fear in the people's hearts who are unbelievers [non Muslims].

Sura 8:12-13 Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers [Muslims]: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers [All non Muslims]: smite ye above their necks [cut off their heads] and smite all their finger tips off them." This because they contended against Allah and His Messenger [Muhammad]: if any contend against Allah and His Messenger, Allah is strict in punishment. [no mercy]

Again mention is made here by the Qur'an that this is ordained by Allah himself to cut people's heads off and fingers, this is not allegory but the real deal of Islam that most people are in denial of. These Suras are in affect today and not been abrogated.

We are told by the ignorant masses not to judge Islam based on Muslims actions so then what are we to Judge Islam on?

There is only one answer, look at Muhammad and his actions who is the founder of Islam. Would you not judge Christianity by the actions of Jesus of Nazareth? Of course this is the right thing to do since the followers might do things never advocated by the founder e.g. in this case Muhammad. Did Jesus tell the Catholic Church to do the inquisitions against the Jews? No... Did Muhammad tell his followers to behead people? YES...

Let's see the evidence...

The beheading of Kab bin Ashraf

BUKHARI, VOLUME 5, #369

Narrated Jabir Abdullah:

Allah's messenger said "Who is willing to kill Ka`b bin al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His apostle?" Thereupon Maslama got up saying, "O Allah's messenger! Would you like that I kill him?" The prophet said, "Yes". Maslama said, "Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Ka`b). The prophet said, "You may say it."

Maslama went to Ka`b and said, "That man (i.e. Muhammad) demands Sadaqa (i.e. Zakat) [taxes] from us, and he has troubled us, and I have come to borrow something from you." On that, Ka`b said, "By Allah, you will get tired of him!" Maslama said, "Now as we have followed him, we do not want to leave him unless and until we see how his end is going to be. Now we want you to lend us a camel load or two of food." Ka`b said, "Yes, but you should mortgage something to me." Maslama and his companion said, "What do you want?" Ka`b replied, "Mortgage your women to me." They said, "How can we mortgage our women to you and you are the most handsome of the Arabs?" Ka`b said, "Then mortgage your sons to me." They said, "How can we mortgage our sons to you? Later they would be abused by the people's saying that so and so has been mortgaged for a camel load of food. That would cause us great disgrace, but we will mortgage our arms to you."

Maslama and his companion promised Ka`b that Maslama would return to him. He came to Ka`b at night along with Ka`b's foster brother, Abu Na'ila. Ka`b invited them to come into his fort and then he went down to them. His wife asked him, "Where are you going at this time?" Ka`b replied, None but Maslama and my (foster) brother Abu Na'ila have come." His wife said, "I hear a voice as if blood is dropping from him." Ka`b said, "They are none by my brother Maslama and my foster brother Abu Na'ila. A generous man should respond to a call at night even if invited to be killed."

Maslama went with two men. So Maslama went in together with two men, and said to them, "When Ka`b comes, I will touch his hair and smell it, and when you see that I have got hold of his head, strike him. I will let you smell his head."

Ka`b bin al-Ashraf came down to them wrapped in his clothes, and diffusing perfume. Maslama said, "I have never smelt a better scent than this." Ka`b replied, "I have got the best Arab women who know how to use the high class of perfume." Maslama requested Ka`b "Will you allow me to smell your head?" Ka`b said "yes." Maslama smelt it and made his companions smell it as well. Then he requested Ka`b again, "Will you let me (smell your head)?" Ka`b said "Yes". When Maslama got a strong hold of him, he said (to his companions) "Get at him!" So they killed him and went to the prophet and informed him."

He hurt the apostle i.e. Muhammad by his words but how could a mere man hurt Allah? Seems a bit absurd.

Ibn Sa'd's Kitab al-Tabaqat al-Kabir adds another interesting feature to this story.

From the Tabaqat, vol 2, page 37:

"Then they cut his head and took it with them. ..... they cast his head before him [Muhammad]. He (the prophet) praised Allah on his being slain."

The beheading of Kab bin Ashraf took place simply because he wrote some slanderous poems against the Muslim women and exposed Muhammad as a false prophet. Muhammad not able to withstand this criticism took swift action through his followers. This lays the foundation for today that if anyone criticises Islam, it is not to be tolerated.

Another case of beheading took place with a Jewish chief called Kinana in Khaibar of the tribe of Banu Nadir.

"Kinana al-Rabi, who had the custody of the treasure of Banu Nadir, was brought to the apostle who asked him about it. He denied that he knew where it was. A Jew came (Tabari says "was brought"), to the apostle and said that he had seen Kinana going round a certain ruin every morning early. When the apostle said to Kinana, "Do you know that if we find you have it I shall kill you?" He said "Yes". The apostle gave orders that the ruin was to be excavated and some of the treasure was found. When he asked him about the rest he refused to produce it, so the apostle gave orders to al-Zubayr Al-Awwam, "Torture him until you extract what he has." So he kindled a fire with flint and steel on his chest until he was nearly dead. Then the apostle delivered him to Muhammad b. Maslama and he struck off his head [beheaded him], in revenge for his brother Mahmud." (Life of Muhammad page 515).

Note that Allah was helpless in telling Muhammad where the treasure was so he had to resort to human intervention to torturing this guy. Also note in the above when Kinana is asked about what will happen to him, he knew fully well that he would be killed as this was common practice in Islam of torturing people for it's own end. Muhammad did not have any mercy on Kinana and for the sake of money and greed extracted his revenge on this innocent person.

Kinana's wife Saffiya who was very beautiful fell in lot to Dahiya another Muslim but he was persuaded by Muhammad after some negotiation with money to part with her so Muhammad could marry her which he later did adding her to his harem of wives. She became Muhammad's tenth wife. Clearly the precedent is set and the chief of this Jewish tribe was swiftly executed after extracting the treasure from this so called infidel according to Islamic traditions. [ref: Muslim II, P 237, quoted by Margolieuth P 363.]

Thus we can see Muslims are commanded to fight, as it is written in the Qur'an in the following Sura, this is not an option...

Sura 22:78 And strive hard in (the way of) Allah [such as fighting], (such) a striving a is due to Him; He has chosen you and has not laid upon you an hardship in religion; the faith of your father Ibrahim;

Remember this was a completely unprovoked attack, Khaibar was one hundred miles away from Medina and the only reason to loot this tribe was that they were wealthy, when Ali asked the reason to raid this tribe he was appropriately told that they will be offered Islam or face annihilation.

The second big event that happened was with the tribe of Quraiza which is a well known slaughter of the innocents.

Their fate recorded in the Hadiths goes something like this...

Volume 5, Book 59, Number 448:
Narrated 'Aisha:

When the Prophet returned from the (battle) of Al-Khandaq (i.e. Trench) and laid down his arms and took a bath Gabriel came to him while he (i.e. Gabriel) was shaking the dust off his head, and said, "You have laid down the arms?" By Allah, I have not laid them down. Go out to them (to attack them)." The Prophet said, "Where?" Gabriel pointed towards Bani Quraiza. So Allah's Apostle went to them (i.e. Banu Quraiza) (i.e. besieged them). They then surrendered to the Prophet's judgment but he directed them to Sad to give his verdict concerning them. Sad said, "I give my judgment that their warriors should be killed, their women and children should be taken as captives, and their properties distributed."

In this event Muhammad ordered the beheadings of between 400 to 600 men, the women and children were taken as reward for the battle and split between the Muslims involved in the fighting.

The men were lined up on huge dug up trenches and were brought out five or six at a time and beheaded. These are not the only cases of beheadings but they do tell us some of the things that Muhammad personally was involved in and it begins to build up a picture of why Muslims today who follow Islam strictly want to carry out the same things of the Islamic past. It leaves no doubt that the events on our screens today the beheadings, the barbarism, the bombs are a by product of an Islamic era that is being revived by Muslims all over the world to a lesser and greater degree.

The Bible talks about these things happening in end of days and tells us to those who have eyes to see that these are the revived Islamic people.

Revelation 13:2 And the beast [Empire/Kingdom] which I saw was like unto a leopard [Grecian], and his feet were as the feet of a bear [Persian], and his mouth as the mouth of a lion [Babylonian]: and the dragon [Satan] gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

It goes on to tell us that there is a huge revival of Islam everywhere, the empire that everyone thought had died is actually going to come back and is being brought back.

Revelation 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death [death of Islam in Ottomans time 1924]; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast [current day- people proclaiming see Islam can wage a war against the powerful west and is winning converts].

The bible also warns us that Christians would be beheaded for the witness of Jesus Christ in the last days by this empire and peoples [Islam - see classic case of Kim Sun IL].

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God.

Today the Muslims actively wage war everywhere against the Christians and Jews and say out loudly that we are fighting the Crusaders and Jews and it is not a secret yet our governments are bent on keeping this a secret.

Jesus' words come to home:

John 16:2-3 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

Muslims would kill both Christians and Jews and think they are doing God a service. The time has come to deal with Islam decisively, either the Muslims governments need to deal with their errant peoples or the west will have to take punitive action to deal a death blow to fanatical Islam, until this happens this will not only increase but thrive in current environment.
